Jetzt hat Nikwax den Mindeststandard auf ein 15faches erh\u00f6hen k\u00f6nnen, wobei Tests mit Nikwax Hydrophobic Down (NHD) bewiesen, dass die Wasseraufnahme sogar um das bis zu 26fache reduziert werden konnte! Beim \u201eIDFB 18A Daunensch\u00fctteltest\u201c, der offiziellen Testmethode des International Down &amp; Feather Laboratory \u201eIDFL\u201c zur Feststellung der Wasser abweisenden Eigenschaften von Daune (Daune und Federn werden in einen Beh\u00e4lter mit 1L Wasser gegeben und so lange gesch\u00fcttelt, bis sie v\u00f6llig durchn\u00e4sst sind.
