Yes absolutely! It will take much longer to dry however. If air drying, we recommend occasionally massaging any down clumps to spread out the down. This will help expedite the drying process.

Hello! Absolutely no need to iron! This is a remnant from when factory-applied DWR were PFAS-based. As Nikwax is PFAS-free, there is no need to heat activate it. Feel free to air dry, or if you're in a hurry a tumble dry on low will work as well.

Hi Stacy! If they are brand new and have not dirt or residue on them, then a gentle scrub with some water to wet the leather before applying the Nubuck & Suede Proof will work just fine. Happy Waterproofing!

Hello. I washed my Gore-Tex jacket (Millet Kamet Light 3L Gore-Tex) with "Tech Wash". Afterwards, I used "TX Direct Spray On" and air-dried it. Do I need to iron it afterwards? Is ironing necessary for the DWR to activate? The jacket label says it's ironable, but I don't understand why.

Thank you in advance.

Yes indeed! I myself sometimes don't have a totally full load of merino wool items, so will add in some synthetic activewear or cotton. It won't hurt them!

Hi Dan, with Nikwax waterproofers you do not need heat to reactivate the water-repellency. Needing heat is the result of a PFAS-based DWR. However, since you just washed in Tech Wash and did not re-apply the waterproofing, it's possible that by adding some heat during the drying cycle (if the garment's care label allows it) will somewhat rejuvenate the existing factory-applied DWR.
