This ties in greatly with our overall focus on sustainability and environmental protection, where our range of innovative products are developed for high performance but with low environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our 10-year process of becoming carbon balanced was a 3-step approach:<br>1. Measure carbon emissions produced through operations. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nikwax.com\/en-us\/environment\/environmental_indicators.php\">Click here<\/a> to learn more about how we measure this.)<br>2. Reduce emissions through reduction, energy efficiency updates, recycling, etc.<br>3. Offset remaining emissions through financial contributions to the World Land Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Land Trust\u2019s co-founder and CEO John Burton stated, \u201cNikwax and Paramo\u2019s (Nikwax\u2019s sister company) commitment to becoming Carbon Balanced since their origins, donations to projects around the world and even supporting WLT at events such as the British Birdwatching Fair, is truly above and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to show other companies how easy it is to take this step.
