Nikwax and Páramo are sponsoring the Widehorizons Schools Adventure Challenge on Friday 4th July 2014 at Bewl Water, Kent.
The challenge allows children to experience adventure the way it’s meant to be – offering the chance to conquer new challenges, learn new skills, buzz with excitement and take home fantastic memories.
This 5-mile adventure walk is for pupils in Year 5, 6, 7, and 8. In teams of six, the children will walk part of the trail around Bewl Water reservoir and complete four mystery challenges along the way! They’ll also enjoy a free ferry ride across Bewl Water itself, giving them a chance to take in the stunning surroundings. This challenge will help to improve the group’s communication and teamwork, and give them a huge sense of achievement.
Each pupil has a £15 fundraising target and all money raised will be set aside so their school can experience future adventures at one of Widehorizons’ Adventure Centres.
Widehorizons will provide a medal for every child that takes part, a completely arrowed and marshalled course, a fundraising guide jam-packed with ideas to help reach the target, and a lesson plan pack for use in school in the lead up to the challenge
There is ample coach and minibus parking at Bewl Water, plus toilets and light refreshments on site.
